RPO is the raffinate produced during the distillation of either Aromatic or Naphthenic or Paraffinic based crude oil in the solvent extraction stage of its lube oil fraction.

  1.  “Naphthenic RPO” type exhibits low volatility and good low-temperature flexibility and is extensively used in the manufacturing of butyl tubes, EPDM based rubber products such as profiles, hose pipe & automotive components, etc.

3-4- “Treated Distillate Aromatic Extracted (TDAE)” is used as an elastic softening agent during the rubber vulcanization process to help reduce the heat generation process. It is used in the following products: Lubricants, Tire, industrial ink, Shoes, Cables, flooring, etc.

3-5- “Distillate Aromatic Extract (DAE)” is a byproduct of the vacuum distillation solvent extraction process as a raw material in manufacturing lubricating base oils and is used in the following industries or products: Heavy fuels, Production of rubber and plastic carrier oils , Diluents and fillers ,processing rubber in grinding and mixing, etc.

Generally speaking, characteristics like Rolling resistance, Torque development, Abrasion resistance, Elongation break and Tensile strength is lowest in Paraffinic RPO and second lowest in MES RPO, third lowest in Naphthenic RPO, second highest in TDAE/RAE RPOs and highest in DAE RPO type.
